Thanks this is what was wrong with my car nice
thumbs up 4 free things
@VirtuosoBW Working better=better performance. At least that is the way I define it.
LOL there is no any performance, you have same car like before only reacting faster at the start.
@ar15freak Funny.
“Now that’s thinkin with your dipstick!!!”
@eurotrends2010 Yea, the simplest and in this case cheapest fixes are always the best.
@EricTheCarGuy, for sure. this is much better than dropping 15 grand into a turbo
@eurotrends2010 Agreed. I’d like to add however that money is an important part of the ‘go fast’ equation in most instances with the exception of this one. Thanks for the comment.
nice
its truly the small things that make the difference, these tricks are proved with the theory, more fuel = more air, = more performance. its basically the goal of turbo charging or supercharging, more fuel = more air= more horsepower.
@lenon1980 Yea sometimes it’s the simple things that do so much. Thanks for the comment.
Yesterday I did Your 0$ performance upgrade
All the time i tought that converter had problems with power transfer until the rear brake job occured. I had to put my head under steering wheel and see if I can adjust brake position and I saw hudge gas pedal freeplay.
@Bigknobby88 Thanks for the great comment I really appreciate it.
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.
The world needs mopre people like “Eric The Car Guy.”
@mattmanslim I love comments like this where a video I post actually helps someone. Glad the video helped, it’s the reason I’m here. Thanks for the comment.
Hey there Eric, I decided to watch this video and give it a go on my 1998 Ford Fiesta. I never thought about doing this after changing to a larger manifold and throttle body with the throttle body in a slightly different place. All I can say is WOW! Performance has DRAMATICALLY increased and I can finally feel my modifications have made a difference. Throttle response is brilliant and my low down torque has shown itself again. Doing this and performing a service has changed the car completely!
@chevylover432 You might want to google it because it was from something I read in an article years ago about putting a small resistor on the back of the injector to get it to operate more smoothly. I don’t remember the specifics however.
@mrjost55 Bummer unless it runs fine the way it is.
My car doesn’t have a throttle cable
How you modify a gm tbi to run better
@sav7152 I’ve seen modifications on GM TBI systems to get them to run smoother but to be honest I have no experience with the mod that you are referring to. I suppose you could try it and let me know the results.
Hi Eric! Love the videos…really learning a lot from you. I have a question that in a way is a cheap performance upgrade. I saw online people modding their IAT sensor with a simple resistor giving you 10-15% more power and supposed better fuel economy. Have you heard of this mod and if so what do you think about it?
@Flysohighx21 You might want to put wrenches on both nuts when doing this procedure. If you continue to have issue I suggest you don’t try any more as if you break that bracket or the cable I’m sure it will be hard to find a difficult to replace.
Ok i tried moving the bolt and the bolt wont move and when i try to pull hard it looks like the whole cable is going to break off the metal piece..
