FOR MORE AUTOMOTIVE NEWS VISIT: www.kbb.com The key differentiators between the standard Porsche Boxster and the new 2011 Boxster Spyder include a simplified soft-top, moderately tweaked styling, reduced weight and a slight bump in horsepower. The changes may seem minor but their cumulative effect has helped turn the already stellar Boxster into an even more engaging driver’s car. Kelley Blue Book’s Jack Nerad recently drove the 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder and offers his assessment in this video. For more new car reviews, interviews and automotive news visit www.kbb.com today.

2011 PORSHE BOXTER SPYDER
@WesleyConoway That’s what we all love, dumb arse! What stops you buying one is not having a JOB!
@BlackOps023 I’m pretty sure they’ll make someof the higher end 911 lines mid engines too. Keeping them RR is just stupid. Ya sure classic, but there are classic cars to fill that category. You can’t hold on to past when you’re striding for the future. The new Porsche supercar is a hybrid, mid engine too lol.
It turns heads when they see a guy in a chick car.
Noticed that they said it is easy to keep the hood, conveniently avoiding the fact it is painful to put it up!
that is bull a top of the notch car witch out ac and radio thats crazy
I owned an 06 Boxster S and I have driven an ordered the Boxster Spyder. To ANYONE who thinks this is not a real Porsche because it’s not a 911 is a moron. The mid engine design of the Spyder puts it in a class above the 911. Car and Driver tested the Spyder and said “The Spyder is the best handling street car Porsche has ever built. Period.” I agree. Eventually, with a little more power, the Boxsters and Caymans will eat the 911s for breakfast. The racetracks have begun separating the Caymans
God I love this car…
I sat in one ot those and noticed that the clutch pedal was easier to move, unlike the older one I was in was like using a leg press. I wish they would give it a targa roof like the carrera gt. Thats a lot of work to do if it starts pouring all of a sudden. I like it though. The boxter overtime has become and underclassman, sort of in Porsche’s lineup. Glad thay gave it some kick.
yes, in california were bored about the 100 grand cars and amazed at every ford and toyota we see.
Porsche has classic design and has changed enough as to keep things interesting. It’s one of the few car brands on the road today that if you took off the badges you know exactly what it is. I love the brand; not every model, but the brand is wonderful and the design is timeless. Go PORSCHE!!!!!
TOUGH SPEED!
@WesleyConoway There are tons of automakers out there offering the wackiest of designs, from Lotus to Lamborghini. Porsche is doing well, and they have sufficient customers. Not everyone will like them (the Cayenne is useless, the Panamera could’ve been better, the Boxster is a posermobile, etc), but everyone has respect for them to be courageous and work their asses off to make a failed design an awesome package (911). Like the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
@WesleyConoway If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
0-60 mph 4.6 is not bad
@bajabusta agreed, you could get a bare bones M3 for that with a little left over.
About time
@WesleyConoway i get u but really its porches signiture
Fucking Porsche!!!!!!!!
It may drive like a dream, have excellent reliability, but one thing is preventing me from buying it. It is a Porsche. I do not want to put my hard earned money into a company that is to lazy and can’t let go of the past and move onto a new design theme
damn is almost as fast as the mk1 997 carrera s!
It’s looking more and more like the CGT.
320 hp is pretty good. I wonder what the torque numbers are.
63k is not a bargain.
